1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
One of the things you must unlearn as God’s beloved child is using God’s product without reading the manual. Understand that the manual is the Word of God. It is our guide for life and things pertaining to life. The Psalmist says in verse 2 of Psalms 103, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”Andin verse 3 to 5, he goes on to list the benefits: “Who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s”. Here is a list of God’s benefits to you: Forgiveness, healing, redemption, protection, favour, and provision. We are meant to give thanks to God for all these many benefits of the New Covenant to us. We are not supposed to forget God’s benefits or blessings in our lives. To not give thanks to God is to forget His benefits to you, and vice versa. You must be specific in your offering of thanksgiving to God, with your thanksgiving points clearly spelt out as you come into the presence of God, just as the Word tells us to do. Don’t give God vain or empty worship. Let your thanksgiving stem out of a robust understanding of the revelation of God’s goodness to you. Have you experienced and enjoyed God’s goodness and graciousness? Mention it specifically and give God thanks for it.
If you want to increase anything and you want to make it mega, never complain about it to anybody. Never murmur over that thing, rather give thanks to God for it. Never let any need move you; and the only way to do that is to put your confidence in God. Don’t murmur or complain about your situation; commit it to God in prayers and give thanks for the answer. Remember the account in Matthew 14 where Jesus fed about 5,000 men? Scriptures record that after Jesus commanded the multitude to sit down, He then took the five loaves and two fishes and looking to heaven, He blessed, and then He broke. The result was evidently a miracle, with twelve baskets full of leftovers gathered from what was insufficient at first. Whatever you are holding in your hands can only multiply with thanksgiving. Once you let the fragrance of thanksgiving come out of your life, everything in, with and around you starts growing and blossoming with the blessing of God.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I declare that the fragrance of thanksgiving oozes out of my life continually! I refuse to murmur, for I am a doer of the Word. Thanksgiving is my lifestyle and I prosper in everything I do! Amen!
