And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
When God made man in the Garden of Eden, God blessed man, saying: “Be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion…” That is the conferment of the blessing on man. The blessing is the empowerment to prosper. The blessing as an empowerment to prosper is both in rights and ability. There is fruitfulness and multiplication by the blessing. The right to be blessed comes before the ability to carry the blessing. Righteousness is the right to be blessed or to carry the blessing, which comes before the ability or empowerment to be blessed. When Abraham reposed faith in God regarding becoming a father of many nations according to God’s promise to him, God counted it unto him as righteousness. That righteousness was Abraham’s right to become a father of many nations and that was what was required or needed to bring the quickening power of God’s Spirit into his body and his wife’s body in order that he might be made alive to produce many nations. The righteousness of faith is the right to carry the blessing; it is God’s right conferred on man to be made alive by the Spirit of God unto fruitfulness, multiplication, replenishing, subduing, and exercising dominion. It is evident that Abraham became the heir of the world, that is, he became the father of many nations not by the works of the Law but by the righteousness of faith (Romans 4:13).
The underpinning understanding that you must possess as a child of the Most High God in order to prosper is that you are already blessed with righteousness – the righteousness of faith; the righteousness of God. You have received the right to prosper and you are empowered by the Spirit of God to prosper in all your endeavours. It is the foundation on which the operations of the blessing stand. Without that foundation, you cannot fully operate in the blessing. You must know beyond every doubt that you are blessed in Christ. You must understand that the blessing according to Genesis 1:28, which is called the commanded blessing is upon you and so, you are blessed. You are irrevocably blessed; you are irreversibly blessed. You are immeasurably blessed because you are the seed of Abraham and the blessing is upon you. Hallelujah! God is a King, He does not make suggestions, He gives commands (Genesis 1:3). So, when He blessed man in the beginning, it was a command. Therefore, the commanded blessing is upon you! Glory! Through faith in Jesus Christ, you have received the blessing of righteousness to prosper! Now, go ahead and prosper in all your endeavours! Now the works of your hands prosper beyond measure! Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
I declare that the commanded blessing is upon me, upon the works of my hands, upon my family, my health, my finances, my business, career, and all my endeavours in Jesus’ Name. I have received the free gift of God’s righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ; therefore, I have every right under God to walk in the blessing perpetually. I am blessed irrevocably and immeasurably!!!
