Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
We are told in the opening verse that God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. It is important to note the tenses used in this particular verse of Scripture. It says that God has already blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in our union with Christ. Note that it doesn’t say that God is going to bless us sometimes in the future. No! It says that God has already blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ. So, it is not a promise that we would be blessed but a fact or reality that we have been blessed in Christ. We don’t hope to be blessed sometime tomorrow. We are already blessed in Christ. Now, there is a difference in attitude when it comes to responding to a promise as against a fact. Faith is the response to the now realities of the Word, while hope is the response to things meant for the future. That God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, is a fact; a settled fact, a now reality, a present hour reality. We can take these blessings now. We can enjoy these blessings right now; they are all ours for the taking now! Hallelujah!
You must know beyond every reasonable and unreasonable doubt that the blessing is yours in Christ, and that the blessing has been commanded on your life. It does not matter the set-back you may have suffered in time past, it must be settled in your heart that all things are working together for your good. The moment that is settled within you, the blessing of God on your life is activated and works to bring you out of every mess into the glorious liberty of God’s children. Listen, nothing can overcome you when there is a settled quiet confidence within you that you are blessed in Christ. You had been blessed before the challenge showed up. That circumstance came up after the blessing had been proclaimed on your life. The blessing is older than your circumstances. Preeminence belongs to the blessing, and it will outlive and outlast every ugly situation in your life. Hallelujah! Put the reality that you are already blessed in Christ in your mouth. Proclaim it out loud! Refuse to let the enemy overwhelm you with doubt. Don’t doubt that you are blessed in Christ. Plant words of blessings into your heart until your spirit witnesses to the fact that you are blessed in Christ. See yourself blessed! See yourself walking in the blessing! See yourself victorious and triumphant over all challenges of life, because you are blessed!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus, I declare that I am blessed. The works of my hands are blessed, the fruit of my body is blessed, my going out and coming in is blessed. In all that I do, the blessing finds visible and unhindered expression through me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
