Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Our opening Scripture warns that we awake from sleep or slumber and arise from lukewarmness, and Christ will give us light. When the Word warns of certain dangers, it becomes evident that those things must be avoided with great earnestness. Some believers are spiritually asleep, and when a man is asleep, little things of life make for achievements; small things make for fulfilment. They are just satisfied with mediocrity! Instead of pressing into greater and bigger things, they just plateau on the island of pleasure and self-gratification. The Word tells us in 1 Timothy 6:6, “But godliness with contentment is great gain”.Godliness with contentment, the Word says, not mediocrity. Contentment means while you are on your way to the next level, you are grateful to God for the current level and you show gratitude to God for it. You are not envious of anyone that is ahead of you, rather you are thankful to God on your way to the next level. Mediocrity is settling for less than what God has prepared for you. You must not mistake mediocrity for godly contentment. Understand that your life is bigger than you as a person or an individual. You are not a local champion; you are a global champion. Therefore, live life to accommodate bigger dreams, more people, your generation, and beyond. Have a global desire, a burning passion that literally leaves you “restless”. Don’t plateau for any reason.
If you have received a desire from God or an awakening within you and there is this hunger and desire for something that you cannot find around you, in your community, family, profession or career, within the scope of your knowledge, something bigger than your country, something bigger than what your parents can do for you; don’t say “well, maybe it’s just me thinking too wild or out of the box.” Follow after your desire or aspiration if you want to see it come to pass. Don’t give up on your dreams or desires. Any desire that God fills your heart with, no matter how big it may be, understand that God alone can meet that desire. So, don’t give up on it. Have a constant desire for bigger things. Grace will meet your desires and surpass them over and above what you require! Believe it! God will do exceedingly above all that you think and ask of Him, according to His power that’s at work in you. Hallelujah!!!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am a global success. I refuse to settle for anything less than what God has prepared for me. I fulfill my destiny to the full! Amen!
