20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
Our opening Scripture tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. What’s the power of the tongue? Words. Death and life are in the words we speak, depending on their kind. Death is in negative words, while life is in positive, Word-inspired words. It tells us further that those who love life or death shall eat the fruit thereof. Loving life means that you love to speak good words consistent with the Word of God. As a child of God, you ought to love life. You ought to speak consistent with the Word. You are a child of the Word; you were born of the living Word of God, therefore, you ought to love the Word and speak the Word as your new language. In Christ, the Word is our language. Confession sets the course of your life; it defines the path that you must follow in life. It is the words of your mouth that set the path ahead of you. Your life goes wherever your mouth is inclined. God has given you a mouth and wisdom in order that you might chart a course for your life. Don’t go where everyone is going to. Follow God’s plan for your life. First, God gives you revelation of His plan for you and you then follow His plan by speaking forth words consistent with the revelation God has given you.
Understand that confession is neither negative logic nor positive logic. It is not ‘I am not poor, then I am rich’. NO! It is saying the same thing as God from a rock-solid understanding and expecting to see the same. Remember Jesus lives to make intercessions for you (Hebrews 7:25). So, for instance, when you confess that your needs are met according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19), and you say that consistently, that’s the intercession that Jesus is making for you on the right hand of the Father and that’s the intercession the Holy Spirit is making deep within you. Then, that is established in your case and you will surely have what you’ve said. Did you see how your confession initiates the High Priestly ministry of the Lord for you? Manifestation happens when we say what we believe, according to the Word of God. Remember, everything responds to the law of faith. The person engaging the law of faith is in charge, and others are at his command. So, say the things that are settled in your heart that you want to see leap into being for you. Don’t speak your emotions. Speak the Word! Set the course of your life by speaking the Word! Hallelujah!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I set the course of my life according to the Word. I speak in faith; I speak what I believe according to the Word. I see what I say, for I cannot be denied.
