For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
As believers, it is very important that we understand why Jesus came into the world. The coming of Jesus Christ into the world was for a purpose. Our opening Scripture tells us that Jesus came into the world to save us. It says, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Father God so loved the world that He gave His Son Jesus Christ to save the world. The Father’s abundant and matchless love gave Jesus to the world, which means that Jesus Christ is the Father’s love gift to the world. Faith in Jesus Christ regarding who He is and what He has done for us brings salvation. None shall perish who truly believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. When Jesus Christ took our place and died for our sins, God made an eternal provision for the salvation of the world from sin and all its consequences. It is faith in Jesus Christ that appropriates salvation in our lives. Our faith didn’t provide salvation, no! God’s grace did! Our faith only receives what grace has provided for us. Hallelujah!!! But until we believe in Jesus Christ, grace doesn’t accrue to us. The Word tells us that we are saved by grace through faith – Ephesians 2:8-9.
When we think of Jesus, the Substance of our hope, what comes to mind is His sacrifice for humanity and His grace made available through His finished works. Grace is sacrifice. Children don’t know what their parents go through to give them grace. Jesus suffered as our Substitute and died for our sins to make grace available to us. Salvation and healing are ours now in Christ because He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. Now we have life, because Jesus died for our sins to the end that He might set us free from sin’s and Satan’s claws. That’s the message of the Gospel of grace. Jesus took our place. So, Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Salvation has been made available through Jesus Christ’s sacrificial and substitutionary work for humanity. Everyone can receive grace today! Grace is available for the taking through faith. By faith, anyone and everyone can be saved, healed, delivered, and set free from bondage! Don’t bug your head with whether it will happen or not. Be not afraid, only believe! Whatever you require, hear the Gospel preached regarding such and believe it; for faith comes by hearing. Act out your faith and grace will attend to you accordingly!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I believe in Him and so I receive all that His grace has made available to me! Amen!
