Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Our opening Scripture tells us of the announcement of the angels of God at the birth of Jesus. The heavenly host rejoiced and said, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will (favour) towards everyone. The birth of Jesus brought everyone hope, favour and blessings. Jesus was not born just to bless a few people; He was born to bless the whole world. The Word declares that God so loved the world, not a few of us, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Again, note what the heavenly host at Jesus’ birth chorused in the heavenlies: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward everyone”. Three things stand out in this verse of Scripture: Glory to God (praise unto God), peace on earth, and good will (favour) towards everyone – Praise, Peace and Favour. The world can praise God, and enjoy peace, and favour just because Jesus was born. Hallelujah!
Everyone who believes in Jesus has every reason to praise God for the grace of God into which they have come. Peace can now reign on earth in the hearts of those who believe in Jesus – peace with God, peace with themselves and peace with one another. Now that you are in Christ, now that you are born again, you have come into favour with God and with people. The favour of God is upon you and you cannot be denied of what’s rightfully yours anymore! In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are highly favoured! Everywhere you turn, the favour of God is turned in your direction and turns things around in your favour. The Lord has blessed you with favour roundabout as with a shield. You cannot be stranded anymore for the good hand of the Lord is upon you! Listen, if you have received Jesus as Lord of your life, then you have peace and have favour in His Name! Disfavour is gone from you and you have long gone from disfavour. You and favour are inseparable; you and disfavour will never ever meet each other! That’s your lot in Christ; that’s your inheritance for believing in Jesus. Now you are perpetually favoured and irrevocably blessed. Hallelujah! Rejoice!!!!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
Father, I thank You for bringing me into perpetual favour through my union with Christ. Now, I am eternally favoured and irrevocably blessed! Hallelujah!
