Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
In today’s opening Scripture, we are admonished to cast all our care on the Lord because He cares for us. Please note the reason why we need to cast all our care upon the Lord. It tells us that the Lord cares for us. Now, is that strong enough reason to cast your cares upon the Lord? Is He capable and responsible to care for us? Can we truly trust Him to care for us? Should we cast some of our major cares on Him while we take care of the small ones? Should we cast all our cares upon Him? Listen beloved, God is more than enough, and He is well able to care for us when we cast all our cares upon Him. He is the Almighty God; there is no searching of His understanding, He does not sleep nor slumber, He gives strength to the weak, and to those who have no might, He increases strength. Strength, power, might, dominion, glory, riches, wisdom, honour, and the kingdom are all His. He is able and caring to meet all our needs over and above all that we may ask. He can and will do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we may ask or imagine. God is dependable. You can trust Him.
You were born to enjoy the goodness of God. None of us was made by God to carry his cares and burdens; no, not one! As a matter of fact, cares weigh us down and make us lose our fervency. God loves us so much that He doesn’t want us to bear our burden. In Philippians 4:6, the Bible says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.” You can cast your care upon the Lord by employing the vehicle of prayers and supplication. What is that thing bothering your mind, that you must respond to, and is of concern to you? Go on your knees and pray to God about it. Make definite requests to the Lord; that’s what it means to make supplication. When you’re supplicating, you’re presenting a specific request to the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ. In John 16:23, the Lord Jesus said, “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” So, go ahead and ask the Father for what you so require, and refuse to let anxiety weigh you down.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I choose to live a worry-free life because I have cast my care upon the Lord. I commit all my concerns to the Lord in prayer; therefore, He sustains me and meets all my needs. Amen.
