But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Light simply means to reveal, to manifest or to bring to the open. Light is revelation – to bring to the fore. Light also means to know or to perceive or to see. It simply means knowledge (Matthew 6:22). It means to perceive a particular reality. Light is to understand or to comprehend something. Simply put, light is understanding (Isaiah 8:20). Light is to be wise or to have wisdom (Ecclesiastes 2:13). Wisdom here talks about the ability to know how things work. Wisdom is one step ahead of understanding and two steps ahead of knowledge. Understanding is one step ahead of knowledge. So, when you combine knowledge and understanding, you arrive at wisdom. Wisdom shows you how to use and make the most of knowledge. By wisdom, you can use knowledge to your advantage and to the advantage of others. The big difference between people that are successful and those that are not is not knowledge; it is wisdom. When you have wisdom, you will be successful because that’s the key to success.
Knowledge is good but it is not enough. Knowledge is potential power, but wisdom is the true dynamic power. Knowledge primes you for wisdom. Wisdom draws from both knowledge and understanding. If you have knowledge of something but you don’t know how to use it to your blessing or to the blessing of others, then that means you have knowledge but not wisdom. So, a man who can apply knowledge seamlessly to his advantage is wise. A wise man can see ahead; he has foresight drawn from sight and insight. A wise man foresees evil and hides himself (Proverbs 27:12). This is the difference between someone who has acquired knowledge, knows a lot, but is not making a success of his life and someone who is responsive to God’s Word, making a success of his life. Until you apply the knowledge of the Word you have, you are not considered as wise. Wisdom is learning the Word and doing it. Wisdom is living by the Word. Beloved, this year, make up your mind to be a doer of the Word. Make a quality decision to live by the Word as you engage the wisdom of God for exploits and quantum leaps.
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am walking in the wisdom of God continually as I live by the Word of God. I am a doer of the Word, not a hearer only! Amen!
