Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Our opening Scripture talks about the Word of faith. It tells us that the righteousness of faith, which is the righteousness of God, speaks on this wise: “the Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the Word of faith, which we preach.” In Genesis 15:6, the Word tells us that Abraham believed God and He counted it unto him for righteousness. So, God counts faith as righteousness. There is a righteousness which is of the Law and the righteousness which is of Faith. The Jews were ignorant of the righteousness of God, which is of faith, and as a result, went about trying to establish their own righteousness of good works, so they didn’t submit themselves to the righteousness of God. The moment you come to Christ through faith, you have come to God’s righteousness. This is the message of the Word of faith, which says if you confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart, we believe unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:8-10). The Word of faith is the centrality of the message of the New Testament.
Again, Romans 10:8 says “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.” The Word of faith is the message of the Lordship and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Word of faith teaches to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and to believe that He is risen from the dead. It is the message of salvation. The Word of faith is the message that brings righteousness, the righteousness of God, to whosoever believes it. Paul speaking to believers in Rome says in Romans 1:16-17 that the Gospel of Christ, which is the Word of faith, is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it. He then goes on to say that the righteousness of God is revealed in the Gospel, from faith to faith, for the just shall live by faith. So, the Word of faith is the power of God unto salvation from sin and its consequences. Hallelujah! So, when the Word of faith is spoken and released, the power of God is let loose to bring salvation to everyone that believes. What is the Word of faith? It is the unflinching confession of the Lordship of Jesus over you and everything that is yours, and the rock-solid conviction that Jesus has been raised from the dead; therefore, there is no hopeless situation to the believer. By the verdict of the Word of faith, there is no hopeless situation. Declare the Lordship of Jesus over that situation in faith, believing that Jesus has been raised from the dead; therefore, you have the victory in His Name! Then go ahead and give thanks to the Father in the light of that in the Name of Jesus Christ! The victory is yours in the Name of the risen Lord Jesus! Hallelujah!
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that there is no hopeless situation in my life, for the Lord Jesus Christ is risen and he reigns forever as Lord over all; therefore, I declare that I have the victory in life, come what may!
