25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
The woman with the issue of blood came to Jesus to receive her healing because she heard something of Jesus that birthed faith in her. She came in behind the press and with faith in her heart touched Jesus’ clothes, and immediately she was made whole of her plague. Mark 5:29 says, “And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” She believed, so she received her healing. That is how to receive from God. The Lord Jesus knew at that moment that someone had drawn virtue from him. So, the Lord asked, “Who touched me?” Though there were many people around Jesus and thronging Him, but there was a touch of faith that pulled the power of God from Him. Indeed, the power of God is tangible, and it can be drawn by faith. The moment the Word is believed, the power of God flows in the direction of faith. The Lord Jesus acknowledged the woman’s faith in Mark 5:34, “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace and be whole of thy plague.” It was faith that secured her healing. Sometimes, people think that when you double-up on prayer, you will receive from God, NO! When you double-up on faith in prayer, you will receive from God.
Believing is like turning on the switch of God’s power. The switch of the blessings of God is turned on by faith. This year, you can receive anything your faith so demands or requires, if it’s in the Word for you; then it is available for the taking. You can receive it. How? Believe it! It’s all about faith in God. It is not so much of what you can afford naturally but what you can believe God for. If you can believe it, you can receive it. It is unto you according to your faith (Matthew 9:27-29). When it comes to receiving from God, it is not a question of God’s ability, not a question of what God can do, it is a question of what you can believe. If you stretch your faith to receive more, you will have more. God is not restraining you as to how much you can receive from Him, it is all about how much your faith can receive. So, go ahead and build your faith by feeding on the Word (meditating on the Word) and acting on the Word. When you receive the Word and put it to work, your faith will be built up.
SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that my faith is active and alive. I am walking by faith and receiving every good thing the Lord has provided for me in Jesus’ Name!
