16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel [a]of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God that produces salvation (healing, prosperity, safety, salvation from sin, peace and wholeness) to those who believe it. As a believer, you ought to believe the Word of God, for the Word is God’s power to save, heal, prosper and deliver everyone that believes it. The process of believing the Word begins with hearing the Word. You can only believe what you have knowledge of; for faith begins where the will of God is known. If a child of God does not know about what is available to him in Christ, and know that he can live in health, that he already has authority over Satan, he can still be yoked by Satan and may live all his life in bondage, not because the Word of God is not true or good but because he is ignorant of what Christ has done for him. He may even think that God doesn’t care about him, whereas God has done everything He needed to do to bless and help him. Until you believe the Word, it cannot take effect in your life. Though people in the world are suffering and going through pain, but is God responsible for all the calamities happening in the world today? Certainly not! He is not. He has done something about their sufferings, to help them, the provision has been made but many people are walking in ignorance, they don’t understand what God has done for them. So, they suffer. Yes, it grieves the heart of God as this “incapacitates” Him, but the only way God can help such persons is by informing them about what He has done for them in Christ, so that they can believe and receive it.
Jesus said in Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.” If you believe the words of Jesus, you will do these works and greater works than these. You know that in the Name of Jesus Christ, you can cast out devils, then it is yours to believe and put to action. That’s why we must give people the truth of God’s Word. Listen, as believers, we are looking out for something to believe of God and of the Word of God and whatever you believe in God’s Word is yours. And that is why your favorite book on earth must be the Bible. You must read the Bible for yourself, in your interest, because if you don’t read the Bible, you will never be able to know what is available to you. But the moment you know what the Word has said about your situation and you believe that the Word of God is true in your case, you can then act according to the Word of God and have your expectations met, in line with the Word of God.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am a believer; therefore, I believe the Word of God absolutely. So, I live by the Word, acting on it daily!
