But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God
10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The Word of God is our life. As a child of God, your life is not apart from the Word. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” As a new creature in Christ, your new life is sourced in the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” The new life you have received is sourced in and sustained by the Word. As a child of God, you ought to give the Word first place in your life. You ought to live by the Word, for your entire life solely depends on it. You need to prioritize the Word; you need to create time for the Word. The Word is your life, and so your life depends on it. If you don’t make out quality time for the Word, you are not going to enjoy life in Christ. You are only going to be short-changing yourself; you will not be making the most of your life in Christ. Beloved, understand that the Christian life is Word life.
When God speaks, His life goes forth, the rhema of God is released and the power of God is let loose for action. In the same way, when a believer speaks the Word of God in faith in line with the will of God, the life of God is released for a performance of what is spoken. However, if a believer makes a bogus confession without the substance of God’s Word abiding in him, nothing will happen, and such a believer will be termed a liar when “his faith” has no attending visible results. When it comes to walking by faith, the first thing to do is to get God’s Word into your spirit or heart. When the Word is there within you, you will speak and act in faith. So, go for the Word. Seek God in fasting and prayers with sincerity for the opening of your inner eyes and for the Word to come to you. Give attention to meditating in the Word as you look up to God for the breaking forth of the light of His Word in your spirit. So, when you pray, ask God to open your eyes to see what He has provided for you and the moment your eyes can see (whether in studying or hearing the Word of God), then your response will be “Oh! I see.” Then you can interact with that perception, it is spiritual perception, and as you interact with it and give thanks to God for it, you can see the invisible leap into being for you. As you are interacting, your faith is working, and your faith is producing results, through the substance of the Word you have received.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Father, I thank You for the ability of the Spirit to see into the realm of faith; therefore, I ask that You open my eyes to see the things You have provided for me in the Word! Amen!
