14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
To some people, redemption is a theological word, to others, it has an affiliation with some denominations. However, according to the Word of God, redemption is a fact! Our opening Scripture reveals that in Christ, we have redemption through His blood. If you have a car and say to someone, “I have a car”, is that a promise? No! It’s a fact. It is not a promise that you have a car. Why? Because you have it already. Likewise, it is a fact that in Christ, redemption is yours now; you possess redemption. Understand that redemption is your reality now; not in the world to come, but it is your reality today! What then is redemption? Redemption is a divine buy-back from sin and all its consequences. In the beginning, God commanded the first man, “…saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17. However, man committed high treason and sold out to the devil, and the entire human race was enslaved from that day forward. Then Jesus came according to Scriptures to deliver us from the dominion of the wicked one and put us on top so that we can rule and reign with Him, in the realm of this life.
When sin came, death came in through sin. What is death? Death is separation from the life of God, which is the quality of life God lives and intended for all His children to live, that fine, beautiful life. Redemption, therefore, is a divine buy-back, a ransom paid to secure freedom from sin and all its consequences, which include fear, lack, sicknesses and diseases, poverty and every such thing, once and for all. As a child of God, you have redemption in Christ. God’s Word has said it, therefore, refuse to believe every contrary thing or situation happening around you. Know that what the word of God says is your reality. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” The man in Christ is a brand-new man altogether. The very moment you got saved, you came into Christ; that is your spiritual position. If indeed you’ve made Jesus your Lord, you are in Christ, and the Bible says, “…in whom (Christ) we have redemption through His blood…” The price for our redemption, the blood of Jesus, was paid. Hallelujah! It was a sufficient price to release you from that slavery that man was born into as a result of the transgression of Adam. You are now free! Insist by faith on living free from sin and all its consequences. Hallelujah.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I make bold to declare that I have redemption in Christ from sin and all its consequences. Satan has been defeated for me and I have the victory over him every day.
