4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Jesus Christ has done everything He needed to do for our healing. Our opening Scripture tells us that Jesus bore our sicknesses in His body and gave us healing in exchange. Healing is children’s bread; it is part of the salvation package, and it belongs to every child of God. Jesus died once and for all and dealt with sin and all its consequences, sicknesses, and diseases inclusive for us, as our substitute. Jesus paid the full price for your redemption on the cross. You have been redeemed, delivered from the power of darkness, and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, Jesus Christ. You are in a place of victory; your positioning is an advantageous one. That which you’ve been delivered from ought not to lord it over you anymore. Healing is your birthright in Christ. You ought to know this like you know the back of your hand that Christ has redeemed you from all sicknesses and diseases. Just as sin doesn’t have power over you, sickness doesn’t have power over you too.
In James 5:13, Scripture says “is any afflicted, let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.” Then it goes on in verse 14-15, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” It is the prayer of faith that saves or heals the sick. How? You pray from the consciousness of finished works, proclaiming healing from that confidence that you have in God. That is the prayer of faith. You are declaring that which God has shown you or given to you in your spirit. You call those things that be not as though they were. Don’t wait until you feel discomfort in your body, begin to speak the Word now, for faith is NOW! So, go ahead and declare the Word. Whatever God has told you, don’t keep quiet about it. Put it in your mouth and declare it in faith, in the place of prayer and confessions. It says “…and the prayer of faith shall save the sick.” The prayer of faith shall deliver the answer to you in Jesus Name, Amen. Let the Word of healing flow from your heart abundantly. Speak forth you healing and receive that which Christ has done for you in His substitutionary work. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am healed by the power of Christ’s finished works at Calvary for me; therefore, I enjoy healing and health abundantly! Amen!
