17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
The will of God is not hidden from the believer; it is only hidden in God for us, but not from us. The will of God is not taught within the four walls of an academic institution, it is not in the educational systems of the world, neither is it in the mind of the natural man. Little wonder Jeremiah cried out “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps” (Jeremiah 10:23). You cannot think up God’s will for you, it can only be revealed by the Spirit of God. You cannot direct your own steps in life. The way to go in life is not known to man, except by revelation; therefore, you must search out the will of God by the Spirit in order to come to know it. Many are busy doing a lot of things but very few have found the will of God for their lives. That someone has had success in their chosen field or endeavor does not mean that they are in the will of God. As a believer, you must find out God’s will for your life. How? Through prayer. You will stand upon your watch and upon the tower of prayer to see what God will say to you and as He begins to show you great and mighty things, you will write the vision upon tables, that you may run as you read it, for execution at the appointed time (Habakkuk 2:1-3). Life is purposeful when you know in clear terms why you are here on earth, and God is willing to reveal that to as many as will call upon Him. Knowing what your life is about is just an asking away.
The Lord Jesus speaking concerning the Holy Spirit in John 16:13 says, “…He will show you things to come.” The revealing ministry of the Holy Spirit is for the believer to enjoy. He is the One who guides us into all truth, taking that which is of Jesus and showing it to us. He will show you the will of the Father concerning every aspect of your life if you ask Him. He will also strengthen you to walk in that God-ordained path for your life. He will supply strength (supernatural might) to you in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16), strength to yield to the will of God as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane. Though it is not convenient for your flesh, yet your response will be “…nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.” You will submit every of your plans and aspirations to God and seek out His will, totally yielded to His will, waiting on Him for the next instruction, and until you hear from heaven, you won’t move an inch. As you wait on the Lord, in prayer and fasting, meditating on the Word and ministering to the Lord, He will speak to you. Now listen, when you know the will of God for you by revelation, you must not confer with flesh and blood. Like Saul of Tarsus who became Paul, an encounter with God will turn your life around completely and change the course of it in line with His will. Beloved, don’t reason away the will of God when it is time to act and make a move in the direction of purpose. Don’t confer with flesh and blood; don’t waver and don’t succumb to the pressures of life to go contrary to the revealed path of the Spirit of God for you. The same Spirit who revealed it to you will keep you on track. Trust Him!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I walk in God’s pre-ordained path and purpose for me. Nothing will derail me from destiny in Jesus’ Name!
