38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
God always does good. Our opening Scripture reveals that Jesus while on earth went about doing good. God does good, not evil. Believers sometimes cry about the things that the enemy is doing in their lives. Some even erroneously attribute both good and evil to God as against what the Scripture teaches. God is good, fundamentally, essentially, and eternally. Understand that just as there is a God who is good, who does good, who loves and wants to bless you, there is an enemy who hates you and is trying to rob you of God’s blessings. God anointed Jesus and He went about doing good, undoing the works of the enemy. This understanding must be deep-rooted in your heart, that God is a good God. 1 John 1:3 says, “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” Verse 5 of 1 John 1 then reveals the nature of God to us. It says, “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” God is light, absolute light. God is not light and darkness; He is light. God is good, absolutely, and because He is good, He wants to bless people.
When you believe in the goodness of God as your present hour reality, great things will begin to happen in your life. This has been the common observation in the lives of God’s precious people with awesome miracles attending to the Word of God which people believed concerning the goodness of God. You will attract what you believe. If you open your heart to God and believe that He is good and expect to receive of His goodness, He will bless you. Remember Abraham? He was a Syrian ready to perish and God made him a nation, great, mighty, and populous (Deuteronomy 26:5). God extended His goodness to Him and made Abraham a father of many nations. Today, you will experience the goodness of God in a new dimension. The hand of the Lord is coming upon you right now to change your situation. You are now henceforth the example of the goodness of God to your world in Jesus mighty Name. Expect God to bless you today; expect blessings of the goodness of God to you now!
