14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Our opening Scripture reveals a profound truth regarding the believer who has come into Christ. By virtue of the finished works of Christ and reposing faith in Jesus, the believer has been released from the hold of Satan, of sin and all its consequences. Jesus paid the full price for our sins. The just requirement of the law was met. Little wonder Jesus Christ had to be hung on the tree, for the wages of sin is death, and the soul that sinneth shall die (Galatians 3:13, Ezekiel 18:4, Romans 6:23). After that Christ has paid the penalty of sin, which is death, the man in Christ has come into freedom by the substitutionary work of Christ at Calvary, so sin shall no longer have dominion over you because you are not under the Law but under Grace. You have been bought back and set free from sin and its ruling power through Christ’s substitutionary work for man. Now you can say no to sin, for it has no power over you in Christ anymore. You don’t have to be tied down or ruled by sinful habits or be under the influence of sinful acts anymore. You’ve been set free. Jesus made that full payment and set you free from sin and all its consequences. Say with your mouth: “I have been set free from sin and all its consequences.”
Upon payment of the ransom for your soul by Jesus Christ, you are set free from Satan’s thrall and sin’s pangs. This is the gospel truth that liberates from the power of darkness. You ought to share this good news with everyone around you, that Jesus died to set them free. They can be hopeful; they ought not to live as though there is no hope. Jesus is the answer they seek, He is the light of the world, the light of life. He says “…he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). Would you tell someone about Jesus today? Will you tell someone about God’s love today and bring them into the glorious liberty of the sons of God? Remember you were saved to connect others with Christ; you are a Christ connector. Jesus gave the great commission to us as believers, He said “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” and He has given you the power to work wonders in His name: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover”(Mark 16:15, 17-18). You now have the word of power and the power of God to preach the gospel. What are you waiting for? Go out, preach the gospel. Heal the sick. Raise the dead. Preach the good news. Bring men into freedom. For you have been born for such a time as this, to push the kingdom agenda and now is the time. Arise and win souls.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I now know what Christ has done for me and the liberty I now have in Him; therefore, I go forth in the strength of the Spirit to tell this good news of Christ Jesus to my world! I refuse to keep quiet about it! I tell it to the world!!!
