I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
The most joyful Christians ever are those who know the joy and blessing of giving. They respond to God’s Word and God fulfils His Word to them. The joy of giving can never be known or experienced until you give to the work of God and to others. You don’t experience the joy of giving by thinking or meditating on giving, no! You don’t experience the joy of giving by talking about giving, no! You only experience the joy of giving by doing the very act of giving. When we give to others in love and in faith, trusting the Lord to meet our needs, God will give back to us in unimaginable measures beyond the length, breadth, depth, and height of our minds. If we sow bountifully of our limited resources or means, God will enable us to reap bountifully. In fact, 2 Corinthians 9:6 is the spark plug that ought to ignite your faith actions for prosperity in order that you may reap financial and spiritual blessings. Understand that if you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly; and if you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully. God is no respecter of persons. You will reap what you sow, and you will reap in the measure of what you sow. Your prosperity is dependent on your liberality, not on the economy of your country, not on your background, and not on your salary. Abundant liberality is the key to abundant prosperity! Through liberality in giving, you can experience the immense joy of seeing and enjoying the goodness of God in the land of the living.
Romans 12:8 tells us that there is a gift of giving. It is the supernatural ability to give generously and joyfully; it is one of the gifts of God in the Body of Christ, the Church. Ask God to enable you to give much more. Today’s opening scriptural verse reveals God’s wisdom for prosperity. The Lord Jesus Himself tells us that it is more blessed to give than to receive. In other words, there is more blessing in living and staying on the giving side of life than living in the receiving side of life. What is the joy of giving? It is the joy of more blessings, not just blessings, but more blessings. That’s God’s wisdom for prosperity! You prosper more as you give more. The flip side of the preceding statement is that you prosper less as you give less. Live by this principle: “I live to give”, and this also: “Life is to give and not to take”. Beloved, don’t wait to experience the joy of giving. Go for it right away!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am a giver like my Father God. He is the greatest and ultimate Giver, and I am like Him. I stay on the giving side of life and enjoy the joy of giving. Amen.
