7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
22 Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken.
Our opening Scripture is so comforting during the many undulating circumstances of life. We are not in a perfect world yet. The Lord Jesus told us that we shall have tribulation in this world, but that we should be of good cheer, for He has overcome the world for us (John 16:33). Again, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers us from them all (Psalms 34:19). Listen, beloved, life will dole out to you some ugly situations and circumstances. The devil is back of all that, not God. Nonetheless, God has given us the victory in Christ, and so we will always win and have the final say. Don’t be surprised when you go through the challenges of life. Understand that the trying of our faith works patience. Well, it takes faith and patience to inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12); and patience cannot be produced until our faith is tried. Therefore, count it all joy when you go through diverse tests and trials! God is with you and will not let you down. That you are going through trials does not mean that God has abandoned you. Stay your gaze on Him and trust Him. What do you do during all that? Philippians 4:6 tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in all things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, to make our requests known unto God. What’s the result of doing that? It says the peace of God will keep and guide our hearts through Christ Jesus. Peace is the result of casting your care upon the Lord. God’s peace keeps you and lets patience have her perfect work, so that you are perfect and entire, lacking nothing (James 1:2-4).
Beloved, God is mindful of you; He has not forgotten you, and He will not forsake you. He was with Joseph in the prison and brought him out into prominence. God is with you and will work out His purpose in your life. Refuse to be bitter against people. Look beyond the hurt into the big purpose of God for you. God has a better and bigger plan for you. Refuse to be offended in God and in people. Be still, trust in God, and see the salvation of the Lord. He loves you.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am aware that God is mindful of me; He is with me and will never forsake me. I refuse to be bitter and offended in God or in people. God is up to something and is working out His purpose in and for me. Amen.
