Give Attention to the Word

Attention is the only price you pay to be a good and excellent student of the Word. So, pay attention to the Word. The Word of God and the mysteries thereof open up to anyone that is ready to pay good, quality, and rich attention to the Word. God is no respecter of persons. What He does for one, He will do for another, under the same condition. Anyone and everyone who has reposed faith in Jesus Christ is God’s child (Galatians 3:26) and has every right to the mysteries, hidden secrets of God’s kingdom (Matthew 13:11). God has reserved the secrets of His kingdom, the keys of the kingdom of God, for His children. These secrets are all available in Christ for the taking and for the knowing. We take delivery of these secrets by giving heed to the Word. When we give undivided, unbroken attention to the Word, the mysteries therein come pouring into us through the blessed ministry of the Holy Spirit. But we must give attention to the Word, as a compass in the wilderness, and a light that shines in a dark place, until the day star and the day dawn arise in our hearts. Giving attention to the Word is needed to explore the secrets in it. We cannot afford to be lazy, casual, and indifferent about the Word. Attention is what it takes to suck the marrow in the bones of the Word – patient attention. Hallelujah!!!

Our opening Scripture speaks of a father’s admonition to his son, which is akin to the Father God’s admonition to us. It says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” Why? It says “For they are life unto those that find them, and health (medicine) to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:2-22). Attention is needed to find the Word, as in, the understanding and life of it. The Word opens to those who diligently seek it out. How? We must let the Word be a priority in our daily living. Why? We live by the Word, so the Word is our life (Matthew 4:4). Read the Word, study it, pray it, meditate on it, confess it, and practice it. The Word requires your attention to open to you. Give it the attention it requires. Pay attention to the Word.
