34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
God and His Word are one and inseparable. He watches His Word to perform it. The Word is a vital part of God. When God speaks, He speaks Himself, His life, His power, His wisdom, His faith, and His everything. God does not disappoint; therefore, His Word cannot fail. Whatever God says, that’s what He will do; for His Word is His covenant. God’s Word is His bond. The opening verse tells us that God will not break His covenant, nor alter the thing that’s gone out of His lips. God is faithful to perform what He promised according to His Word. He is honest, reliable, and trustworthy. You have God’s unshifting commitment to His Word when you believe His Word. You can bank on God never to let you down when you stand on His Word. Faith in God has a predictable outcome, which is, the performance of God’s promise, that you have believed. Faith in God never fails or disappoints.
In Isaiah 55:10-11, the Word tells us that God’s Word has the ability to make good whatever it says. It says God’s Word will accomplish what He says and will perform His counsel. It says the Word will not return to God void, with excuses for lack of performance, or with explanations for inability to produce results. No, a million times no!!! The Word is pregnant with untold ability to deliver on every promise that it makes. Learn to take God at His Word. Learn to take His Word at face value. Learn to take His Word to you as His covenant or bond to you. Learn to see God behind His Word, always watching to perform it. Learn to trust God for who He is and for what He says. What God says is as reliable as who He is. God’s mouth is hooked up with His heart, and whatever He says, is what He means; and what He means is what He says. You cannot accept God’s integrity without His Word; you cannot understand His integrity without His Word, either. God is committed to you by His Word. When you believe His Word and act upon it, God must respond to you according to His Word. He is faithful; He will not let you down.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that my confidence is in the Word of God. I lean on the Word absolutely, for God is faithful to perform His Word to me. Amen.
