26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
Christ indwelling the human spirit is the mystery of mysteries. In our opening verse, Paul by the Holy Spirit reveals the supreme mystery of all the revelation of God; the finality of all the wonders that he knew in the revelation of Jesus Christ, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. What does it mean? It means that in union with Christ through new birth or salvation, Christ desires to live in you so He may reveal Himself in, to and through you. This is Christ’s purpose for you: to reveal Himself to you, through you and in you. The Church of Jesus Christ is His Body. “Christ in you” is the revelation of the oneness of Christ and His Body, the Church, in a seamless, organic unity such that Christ’s very life streams through the Church unhindered. If we realized or knew the truth hidden in our union with Christ and the power of it, this world would be a different place. When the Christian Church realizes that they are the tangible, living, pulsating body of Jesus Christ, and that God accomplishes His will for the world through them, and not through some other body, then Christ’s service and responsibility will be understood.
Jesus Christ operates through you! He does not operate independent of you; He works through you, He helps, heals, delivers, prospers, and saves through you! This mystery of Christ in you reveals that in Christ, man and God become united; divinity becomes united with humanity. That’s the possibility and reality of Christ in you. That is the real divine secret of the real Christian life. It is a real union, the conscious union of man and God. There is no substitute for that relationship. Man is the image of God, and God is the substance and essence of that image. Man cannot operate as the image of God that he is without the essence of God filling and flooding his entire being. That’s the reality which Christ in you supplies. Christ in you, the hope of glory; the hope of living as the image of God in substance and essence of what it really is. We may manufacture human dogma for doctrine, but still, we must find God; for until we find God, reality is a mirage. There is only one reality, and that reality is God. The soul of man must contact God and unless the spirit of man is truly joined to God, there is no such thing as a real Christian manifestation.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that I am one with Christ, spirit, soul, and body. Christ lives in me, and this life is by faith in Him. I yield myself to the Word and the Spirit of God and declare that the life of God energizes me. Amen.
