22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Today’s opening verse tells us that there is such a biblical concept and fact of life as sowing and reaping, which means that you will reap what you sow, in the measure you sow, if you do not faint in sowing. There is no magic to life. It is purely sowing and reaping. Period! The biggest and greatest seed to sow is yourself, your life, your everything. Nothing is and will be too big to sow or give away for the sake of the Gospel when your life is in the soil of God’s kingdom already. Oswald J. Smith once said, “I have caught the vision, and for self I cannot live; life is less than worthless till my all I give”. The biggest of life is reaped when the biggest of you is sown for the Gospel, but all of life is reaped when all of you is sown for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t hold back anything from life! Give your best to God for the Gospel. Give your life away for the Gospel and you will find it back! Don’t hold back yourself from being the utmost and ultimate blessing you can be to others. Your life starts counting when all of you is sown as a seed to bless your generation.
Giving your money to serve God’s purpose on earth is the easiest thing to do when you have sown your whole life as a seed to God’s purpose for life. The most important thing you can do with money is to give it away for the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mostly, if your prayers concerning finances are not being answered, you should take stock on the matter of your giving, for everything responds to giving and receiving. It is God’s divine principle that governs the world. Many are praying for things that are harvests of the seeds they have not yet sown. That prayer will only be answered by God leading you to sow the seeds required for that kind of a harvest. Understand that your giving cannot buy the goodness of God; but it is an expression of your faith in God. Your giving honours God and every time you honour God, He responds to you by pouring out His grace upon you which makes for prosperity.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that my heart is attentive and sensitive to God’s rule of engagement in the earth – sowing and reaping. I play by that rule as I give myself totally to the Gospel of Jesus Christ; I am a giver and I declare that I live to give! Amen.
