The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, [a]we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
Our opening verse tells us that the wicked flee when no man pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. Here, righteousness breeds confidence and boldness. The righteous are bold as a lion. Justification gives boldness in the face of evil, which means that quiet and fearless boldness comes from righteousness. When righteousness is conferred on you through faith in Jesus Christ, you become bold. Why? The righteousness of faith is God’s righteousness. Just as God cannot be intimidated, you cannot be intimidated; for you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Nothing scares you because the Lord is your righteousness and confidence; and you have become His righteousness in Christ. Hallelujah! No one can lay any charge against you, no, not one! God has justified you, therefore you are discharged from the guilt and condemnation of sin. You are bold with Christ’s boldness, and you are sufficient with His sufficiency. Christ is your sufficiency.
The righteous are bold as a lion, which means that there is no fear of hurt or evil. This kind of boldness is unperturbed confidence and restful quietness in the presence of God, and in the face of Satan and all his cohorts. You have this confidence because God has justified you through faith in Him, and He has made you right with Him. The Word tells us in Romans 5:1 that Justification by faith produces peace with God. You are peaceful, you are restful. Unperturbed, no agitation of any kind. Why? Your faith is in God absolutely. Justification is absolute confidence in God that you cannot be hurt by anything or anyone. That restful confidence is so powerful. Justification also gives the right and boldness to judge every unrighteousness. Isaiah 54:17 says “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” The Righteousness of faith is the righteousness of God, and this righteousness is confidence in God that nothing can hurt you. It is also the boldness and right to judge unrighteousness. Beloved, you are empowered to judge every unrighteousness in your life, in the lives of your loved ones and in your country. Exercise your God-given right boldly in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
I declare that I am righteous through faith in Jesus Christ, therefore, I am bold. There is no fear in me. I am justified. I have unperturbed confidence. I have restful quietness in the presence of God and in the face of the enemy. I am bold to judge every unrighteousness; therefore, I command every deviation in my life to come into alignment in Jesus’ Name.
