And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
The Presence of God is the fullness of God. Everything God is and has is in His Presence. The Word tells us in Psalms 16:11 that in the Presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy, and at His right hand there are eternal pleasures. In fact, the way of life is in His Presence. The Presence of God has everything you need and will ever need in life. There is no lack of any good thing in His Presence. That’s where fullness of everything of the God-kind dwells: Fullness of joy, fullness of life, fullness of grace, fullness of power, fullness of light, name it. Therefore, we ought to love God’s Presence, His face above all else. Today’s opening Scripture tells us that the tabernacle of God is with men, and He dwells with them. God delights in people. He loves to dwell within and among us. When you got born again and received the Holy Spirit, God came to dwell in you. He has made your body, your life, His abode. God has made your body His domicile in Christ. Our body, bodies of believers, is the temple of God.
The man in Christ has been blessed with the Presence of God. As a child of God, your body is the address and residence of the Holy Ghost; that’s where God dwells and makes His abode. The tabernacle of God is with us; we are His temple. This reality must be attended to with reverence; that means we must play host to the Presence of God in a good way. There is a right way to play good host to God’s Presence and we must learn this secret. How do you do that? You do that with joy. In 2 Samuel 6:12-17, David went to bring the Ark of the Covenant from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David, and the Bible shows us that he rejoiced and danced; he played before the Lord. He played host to the Presence of God because the Ark was a type and symbol of the Presence of God to them under the Old Covenant. He and the people of God rejoiced again and again as they moved the ark. At every sixth pace they went, David sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings and rejoiced before God. Beloved, this is how to play good host to the Presence of God. You do it with joy, not sadness. Therefore, go ahead and rejoice today, knowing that God lives big in you. Hallelujah!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
I rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ today because I am host to the Presence of God. I make rejoicing in the Lord a habit as I give glory to Him daily. Therefore, the manifestation of His Presence is real in my life every day. Hallelujah!
