Whoever offers praise glorifies Me;
And to him who orders his conduct aright
I will show the salvation of God.”
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
To wail is to lament, to weep, to cry persistently and bitterly; it is to mourn, to grieve over or show great anguish. In life, everyone is bound to face challenges in one area or another. People don’t turn out poorly because they faced many challenges in life; they only turn out poorly because they responded to those challenges poorly. People are made as a result of 90% of their responses to the challenges of life and only 10% of the things that happened to them. So, it is not what is happening to you that matters, but how you are responding to them. If you wail about your health, finances, and family, you will surely fail. Today’s opening Scripture tells us that God will show us His salvation when we order our conversation aright. What does that mean? It means that God responds to you, not according to your troubles, but according to your faith. When you choose to speak in faith and give thanks to God for His faithfulness and mercy, He will move on your behalf; for faith pleases Him. To order your conversation aright is to refuse wailing as the standard of your conversation. Stop complaining and start using your faith to meet your needs. Put the Word in your mouth and give thanks to God for His faithfulness! God will not deny Himself and His Word will not fall to the ground. Hallelujah!
Wailing is negative, complaining, fault finding speech or communication. You must desist from wailing in order that your faith may produce results. You cannot be wailing and praying at the same time; you cannot be wailing and believing God at the same time. Wailing is a result of having an unbridled tongue, which is an indication of not walking in agreement with the Word of God. Understand that your words determine either your liberty or bondage, depending on the kind of words you speak. You must learn to speak in line with the Word and let your faith loose so that God can use your words of faith as building blocks for your victory. You learn to walk in victory over Satan through the testimonies of your mouth.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I refuse to wail. I am a child of God, born of the Word and of faith; therefore, I speak the Word always, ordering my conversation aright. I declare that I see the salvation of the Lord all the days of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
