And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.
By faith we understand that the [a]worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
The Word of God is God speaking to us. God speaks by His Word. God and His Word are one. When God speaks, He goes to work. God’s Word is God doing something, building something, creating something. John 1:1-3 tells us that God created the world by His Word. At creation, there was nothing that was created without the Word. Evidently, God does nothing except by His Word. God works through His Word. Our opening verse reveals the power of the spoken Word. It says the disciples went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord was working with them, confirming the Word with signs following. What did God confirm? The Word. God always confirms the Word with signs following. God is only committed to confirming the Word with signs following, not human tradition, not religion, not human philosophy, but the Word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, everywhere the Word is preached, God goes to work, confirming the Word with signs following. Hallelujah!!! If you really want to see God work in your life, preach the Word, confess the Word, act on the Word. When you act on the Word, God goes to work to make His Word good in your life. God sustains or upholds all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3).
Every activity and move of God’s Spirit in history or in Bible days were first prophesied. God has said those things ahead and they were fulfilled in their ordained seasons. Ten times in the Book of Matthew it is said, “that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets” which reveals that God will not do a thing without first saying it by the mouth of the prophets. God leads His people into what He has made ready for them by prophetic words and utterances. So, when God starts speaking to you, understand that He has started working. According to the opening scripture, God spoke through the disciples, and then He also confirmed His words in their mouth by signs and wonders. When God is not saying anything, He is not doing anything. Everything He did at creation, He did by His word. In Hebrews 11:3 the Bible says, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” So, understand that God works by His Word. To experience His works in your life, you must give attention to His Word. You must hear His Word, believe it and act upon it.
My Solid Front (Confession):
The word of God is His instrument of power and action; therefore, I give utmost attention to the Word in hearing, believing and acting upon it. I see the manifest hand of God in my life as He confirms His Word to me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
