10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [a]void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Today’s opening verse tells us that the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return back until they water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, so that the earth may give seed to the sower and bread for food. It goes on to say that God’s Word is just very much like the rain and the snow. The Word spoken by God will not return to Him void, but it shall accomplish God’s pleasure and prosper in the thing God sent it to accomplish. So, when God’s Word is spoken to us, it causes us to bring forth and bud. The Word makes us fruitful, just as the rain and the snow make the earth fruitful. When you receive the ministry of the Word and apply yourself to it, you become fruitful in everything you do. The Word is the seed required to be fruitful; when it is planted, it produces awesome fruits.
It is God’s will for you to be fruitful all the days of your life. God wants you to be fruitful in every aspect of your life – career, business, ministry, family, academics, etc. Understand that the Word is the seed needed to become fruitful in every aspect of life. You need to understand how to plant the Word and where to plant the Word. The soil where the Word grows is your heart. You are meant to plant the Word in your heart. How? Meditation in the Word is the scriptural way to plant the Word in your heart. Joshua 1:8 tells us that meditation in the Word requires the use of the mouth and the heart. Your mouth confesses the Word and your heart thinks upon the Word. When the mouth and the heart are engaged in meditation, the Word, the seed of God, is planted in the heart. The moment the Word is planted, it begins to germinate and grow into awesome fruits consistent with the seed sown. The Word will grow when planted. Until the Word is planted in your heart, you will never know how powerful the Word is. The power and potential of the Word is seen when it is planted. So, you have to be very serious with the ministry of the Word of God. Receive the Word and put it to work in your life. Act on the Word!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
I declare in the Name of Jesus Christ, that the Word of the Lord causes me to prosper and to become fruitful in all things. I see the efficacy of God’s Word in and through my life more than ever before, as I give full attention to it continually in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
