2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
God wants you to prosper. Gone are the days when poverty was associated with Christianity, and words like “as poor as a church rat” were used to describe the Church. No more! You come to church today, the rats are big and well-fed because there’s a lot to eat. Hallelujah! It is God’s will for you to prosper. It is very easy and simple to know what the will of God is as to prosperity. Understand how things were before the fall of man. Before the fall of man, there was no poverty or penury, no lack or insufficiency. All that came in through sin. It is evident that poverty was never a part of God’s plan for man. When the Lord Jesus spoke as to the misunderstanding of the Jews about marriage, He said “from the beginning it was not so” (Matthew 19:8). Therefore, knowing what was from the beginning lets us know what God’s will is apart from what it is not. Prosperity is God’s will for you.
Poverty was never part of God’s plan for man in the Garden of Eden. There was so much to eat and enjoy, so much to give away to be a blessing to people. Praise God! And prosperity simply means abundance, more than enough so that you can flow out and be a blessing to people. 3 John 2 tells us “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers”. God wants you to prosper; He wants you prosperous. That’s His plan for you. Believe it! Faith begins where the will of God is known. If you don’t know it is God’s will for you to prosper, you can’t have faith for prosperity. If you believe a lie that when you get to heaven you will enjoy prosperity, you will not be able to have faith for prosperity here on earth. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples to pray “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” Now, if God did not have it in mind to have His will established in the earth as it is in heaven, He would not have taught His disciples to pray that way. God wants His will established here on the earth as it is in heaven, and what is His will? Prosperity! Prosperity!! Prosperity!!! Beloved, settle for prosperity, God’s will; don’t let the enemy talk you out of it. Don’t short-change yourself.
My Solid Front (Confession):
Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing my inheritance for me in Christ. I am convinced that prosperity is Your will for me. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I prosper in all that I do in thought, in word, and in deed. Amen.
