For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
There are people who do believe and don’t believe in predestination. Some of those who believe in predestination only believe in bad predestination. They believe that God predestinated some people to suffer in life and others to enjoy life, and in case your lot falls among those that He predestinated to enjoy, you are privileged and blessed. However, if God predestinated you to suffer, there is nothing you can do to change it; that even when you try to be wealthy or to make ends meet, it just will not come together for you. Well, there is nothing further from the truth than this; that’s a BIG lie from the devil. The Word of God tells us that the predestination that we have in Christ, designed by God before the foundation of the world, is good and blessed. In Christ, man has a blessed destiny, but outside of Christ it is a cursed lot of the consequence of Adam’s sin. In Ephesians 1:3-5 the Word tells us that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. According as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. Did you observe that we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, and that there are no curses in Him? Our lot in Christ is blessed! Beloved, don’t believe a lie! Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking that your lot in Christ is cursed and that you will find it hard to prosper because predestination was not in your favour. Believe the Word of God!
Again, Romans 8:29-30 tells us “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” It tells us that the foreknowledge of God of us led to predestination to conform to the image of His Son Jesus Christ, and that is the image of His glory which is good predestination in Christ. Furthermore, the Word tells us that those that the Lord predestinated to conform to the image of His glory in Christ are called, and justified and glorified. Our predestination in Christ is unto glory, not shame or demotion. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power of predestination working in my life to bring me into all of Your perfect intents which You had in mind before the foundation of the world. Therefore, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I walk in the fulness of your plans for me. Amen.
