Therefore we conclude that a man is [a]justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was [a]accounted to him for righteousness.”
Today’s opening Scripture shows us that justification from sin and its guilt is solely by faith apart from the deeds of the law. What then is Justification? Justification is righteousness. It simply means rightness with God. Justification is the rightness or privilege God bestows on everyone who believes in Jesus Christ to stand before Him and before everyone else without any sense of guilt, inferiority, inadequacy, or condemnation. To be justified simply means that you are free from sin’s convicting guilt and that you are discharged and acquitted from sin’s demeaning grip. As to you and yours, no more condemnation! No more guilt! No more inferiority complex! No more living under the oppressive burden of sin! No more slavery under the mastery of sin and Satan! You are free and free indeed! The moment you know that sin’s hold has been broken from your neck and that you have been justified from sin’s guilt, you can raise your head high, square your shoulders, push out your chest and live like the king that you are. Now, in union with Christ, you reign over sin and Satan’s power. The Lord Jesus has set you free from Satan’s kingdom and oppression. Hallelujah!!!
Romans 4:3 tells that Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. This righteousness or justification is by faith in Jesus Christ. It is not by works of self-righteousness. You can’t work yourself unto righteousness; you can only believe unto it. The nation of Israel however could not measure up to the righteousness of God, because they sought it their own way rather than submitting to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:4). Israel missed out on God’s righteousness because they didn’t seek it by faith. Anybody who seeks righteousness by any other means apart from faith in Jesus Christ has deviated from the normal, no matter how zealous they are. Jesus, the Anointed One, is the rightness of God and He alone bestows rightness through faith in Him. Through faith in Christ, we are aligned with God’s righteousness! So, the child of God, the believer in Jesus Christ, has attained unto the righteousness of God. In fact, the believer in Christ has become the righteousness of God in Christ. Hallelujah!!!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In Jesus Name, I declare that my faith is in Christ Jesus, the Son of the Living God; therefore, I am justified before God and before people. By Christ’s justification conferred on me, I declare that I have been aligned with the truth; I have been aligned with God’s standard. Amen.
