saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a [a]notable miracle has been done through them is evident[b] to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.
Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
Miracles are acts of God. A miracle is a divine intervention in the natural affairs of man, owing to man’s faith in God. Today’s opening Scripture records a notable miracle that was wrought by the hands of the Apostles. In Acts 3, Peter and John were on their way to the temple at the hour of prayer and they were asked for alms by a man who had been lame from his mother’s womb. This condition had persisted for over forty years, and it looked like the man was already in a permanent state of disability. But that day, he encountered the Miracle Worker. Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said “Look on us”. That was the lame man’s moment of encounter. He took his attention from his condition and gave him Jesus. “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have, give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.” Acts 3:6-7. The lame man was healed by the power of God. What a miracle! It was believable because it was a miracle.
Acts 3:9-10 tells us “And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he, which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.” This kind of miracle is one that could not be kept secret. It is a notable miracle. It was an interruption of the natural order that caused the supernatural healing of the man, and no one could deny it. God wants to do the same for you. He wants to give you a miracle that will make people gather on your behalf to worship and praise His Name. No matter for how long a condition has been, the day Jesus steps in, a positive change is bound to take place. That is your experience today. Lift your hands and thank God for a miracle. Release your faith right now for a divine intervention of God in the affairs of your life. Let your faith loose right now! Believe God for a miracle! It is your time and your turn for a miracle! Be expectant! Your Miracle is here! Hallelujah!
