21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
There is power in the spoken Word. In the beginning, God spoke into existence all that we see today. God called forth the things that be not as though they were already in existence; He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast! “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3). The whole universe leaped into being at the spoken Word of the Lord. God’s Word is as creative in His mouth as it is in the believer’s mouth. The Word of God in your lips spoken in faith has the same power as God’s Word in His lips. The Word is as potent in God’s mouth as it is in the believer’s if spoken by faith. Little wonder Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…for he hath said…so that we may boldly say…” Your confidence to speak the Word is rooted in the understanding that you are saying what God has already said. You are speaking divine mysteries, settled from the foundation of the world. When you begin to speak the Word to yourself, you will create a new environment of faith, possibilities, and realities around your life, by the spoken Word.
Proverbs 23:7 says, “As he thinks in his heart, so is he” and Proverbs 4:20-21 says “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” This means that if you give attention to the Word and you meditate on the Word and act out the Word, you will become like the Word. Jesus taught us in Mark 11:23 that if you speak the Word in faith, you shall have what you say. This means your communication determines your meditation; and your meditation determines your conviction, and your conviction determines the results you get. Beloved, don’t say things inconsistent with the Word, for the things you say to yourself will continually shape your mindset. Rather, set your mind on these things, things that are above where Christ is seated on the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1). Remember, “…whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). Change the quality of your thought and your confession and there will be an upgrade in the quality of life that you live. Your mind will begin to see possibilities in God and every obstacle in your path will give way to success and victory. Speak faith, speak possibilities, speak your realities in Christ. Speak from conviction, from revelation; speak forth light, creativity, increase, abundance. Let nothing shut you up or shut you down. Engage angels by your words. Speak, and you shall have what you say.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I speak the Word in faith and get awesome results like God my Father. The Word of God is potent in my lips of faith! Amen!
