Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Creation reveals the greatness, awesomeness, and glory of God. Looking at the created world, we can tell that there sure is an invisible intelligence behind it. The Bible tells us that in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1-3). We believe that creation is the work of God’s hands. The wonder of creation reveals the marvel and glory of the Creator God. When was the last time you were out observing nature and you saw something so impressive, which reminded you that God is real, awesome, and glorious? God created everything you see; He spoke, and it all came into existence by His Word. Amazing, isn’t? The wonder of creation reveals the wonder of the Word by which God created all things. Hence our faith is inspired by the wonder of creation; for it is through faith that we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen (created things) were not made of physical things but made of the Word of God. The Word then is the substance of the created world. Creation came out of the living Word of God which lives and abides forever. Hallelujah!
From creation, there are vital lessons of faith to learn. First, God’s Word is creative. Whatever God speaks becomes what He says. When He said, “Let there be light” there was light. So, when God speaks to us, we must believe that His Word will become what He says. God cannot lie; His Word is yes and Amen! Hallelujah! Sometimes natural people say they create things, whereas they are just assemblers, not creators. They “create” from what God had already created. But God created the world from His Word, not physical things. Our God is awesome! God’s creation, this universe, tells us many things about God, if we will just look around and consider. This world is so perfectly designed that it doesn’t make sense that it was created randomly or by accident. Design tells us that there is a Designer! Creation teaches us about God, His eternal power, and the need to believe Him absolutely! Psalms 19:1-2 tells us that the heavens declare the glory of God. If the heavens are pouring forth their speech of God’s awesomeness, then we should be listening to what they are saying. They sure are speaking forth the wonders of God, His power, and the need to believe in Him. We believe in God because His Word has revealed Him to us, and creation is also a witness that He exists and is gracious and good. Hallelujah!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION)
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I believe in the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the Creator of all things, and my faith is in Him absolutely. When He speaks, things happen. So, my faith is in Him and in His creative, faithful, and unchanging Word. Amen.
