6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Communication is the key to appreciation. Your gifts and talents are better appreciated when they are better communicated to people. Communication is the genius of appreciation and acceptance. You are better appreciated and accepted based on your communication skills. In today’s opening verse, the Word tells us that the communication of our faith becomes effectual by the acknowledgement of every good thing that is in us in Christ Jesus. What does this mean? What is the communication of our faith? The communication of your faith is the expression of it, which means the way and manner it is expressed. In other words, the essence of your faith in a physical or visible manner of expression. For example, you know that you are a believer in Jesus Christ, and that you have faith in God, but until your faith is expressed in visible terms, the world will not believe that you are a believer. The world wants to see the manifestation or results of your faith, to be able to appreciate it. Our opening Scripture reiterates that the expression of your faith will be potent and effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. In other words, you must acknowledge every good thing that God has done in and for you in Christ Jesus.
Acknowledging all the good things that are in you in Christ Jesus requires knowing what Christ has done for you. Knowledge comes before acknowledgement. You cannot acknowledge what you don’t know. You need to learn the Word for yourself. You need to read and study the Bible to know and understand what Christ has done for you in His substitutionary work. You need to be settled in a Bible-believing Church where the Word of God is taught undilutedly. You need to have a God-sent Pastor to guide you into the fullness of God for you. Now, having learnt the Word about what Christ has done for you, you need to believe that He did all that for you and that it is all yours now. Then put the Word in your mouth in confession and begin to say it in faith. Let the confession of Jesus’ finished works for you be in your mouth continually, non-stop, daily. Live like you know that all He’s done for you is true and all yours today. Now, go ahead and acknowledge that: You are a new creature in Christ, blessed, a minister of reconciliation, God’s righteousness, justified by faith, sanctified by the blood of Jesus, God’s child, a royal priesthood, a partaker of the divine nature, the temple of the Holy Spirit; and as you acknowledge who you are in Christ and what you’ve been blessed with in Christ, you are giving expression to who you are in Christ. Hallelujah!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I declare that God has blessed me in Christ with all spiritual blessings; I declare that I am a new creature in Christ, possessing the very nature of God. Therefore, my life reflects the Godkind of life. Amen.
