He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.
10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [a]void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Our opening Scripture tells us of the power of the sent Word. It says God sent His Word and healed the oppressed and delivered them from their destructions. What is the sent Word? It is God’s response to the cry or prayers of His people. When you call on God according to His Word, and He answers you with a Word that suits the occasion, a Word that’s custom-made for you and for the situation for which you require His intervention, that’s the sent Word. It always come with power to deliver the answer, the victory and the intervention needed per time. Verses 18 and 19 of Psalms 107 tell us that the people’s souls abhorred (speaking of the children of Israel) all manner of meat, and they draw near unto the gates of death; then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. How did the Lord do that? He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. The sent word is an answer to our prayer or cry unto God about His will for us.
Jeremiah 33:3 tells us to call upon the Lord, and He will answer us, and show us great and mighty things which we do not know. How? He sends His Word in answer or response to our cry, and to reveal His great and mighty mercy and graciousness that is beyond what we know or have known before. The sent Word always comes to those who call upon the Name of the Lord, and when it comes, it always does to perform God’s counsel with immediate effect. The sent Word does not come as a promise, or a consolation, it always comes as a salvation to those who believed and have called upon the Name of the Lord; for it is written that, whosoever shall come upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved. Hallelujah!!! Do you require a sent Word from the Lord? You may have your back against the wall, and Satan wants it pinned there. You may have your back on the ground in defeat and your world seems torn apart. You may have failed and you’re tired of failing again, so you are afraid of trying again. The answer, the sent Word, your sent Word, is just a call away. Now, open your mouth and call upon the Lord, and He will answer you.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, I am glad that You are more than enough for me. I worship You for the privilege to call upon Your Name. I call You Your Name today, and I thank You for my sent Word that always gets the job done. Hallelujah! Amen.
