Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
We are meant to be indwelt by the Word. The Word ought to live and abide in us richly and abundantly unto overflowing. That’s God’s software that ought to run in us consistently. We are to run on the Word of God, the Logos of God, God’s mind, God’s will. That’s how life was designed to be lived. We are meant to think the Word, talk the Word, and act the Word. Matthew 4:4 tells us that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The Word is our life. We have no life asides the Word. Our life in Christ is Word life. 1 Peter 1:23 tells us that we are born again of the incorruptible seed of God’s Word, which lives and abides forever. Therefore, the Word is our life because our life is of the Word. John 15:7 tells us “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.” We live a miracle life when we let the Word abide in us. It says we shall ask what we will, and it shall be done unto us. God will cause whatever we ask to leap into being for us, only if we let the Word abide in us. That’s a miracle, isn’t it? Hallelujah!
The Word will abide in you in the measure that you practice it. God’s Word does not abide in us just because we read it, no. It does not abide in us just because we attend all Church meetings. As important as that is though. The Word will abide in those who live by it. We must practice the Word, we must be doers of the Word, to be possessors of the Word. The Word is at home in those who practice it. The truth abides in those who live in it. You will master the Word when you let the Word master you. Let the Word live in you; let the Word rule you, let it have the right of way in you. Make room for the Word to dwell in you. Be a doer of the Word.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I let the Word dwell and abide in me. I walk in the light of God’s Word as I practice it daily in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
