3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
The Word has its unique way of expressing itself. Everyone who truly seeks to work the Word must work it the Word’s way. Faith is the Word’s way of expressing itself. Our opening Scripture tells us that through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, such that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. The Word of God is not in the realm of the senses; it is not in the realm of sight, smell, taste, hearing, and feeling. Jesus the Lord tells us in John 6:63 that it is the Spirit that gives life, the flesh profits nothing, and that His words are spirit and life. Relating with the Word of God with the senses, is contrary to the Word’s way – faith. It’s only through faith that we can appreciate the realities of the Word. For example, when God says a thing, you may not feel it, but your feeling cannot make it void or untrue. The truth of God’s Word changes the sensibilities of the senses but is not and can never be subject to them. So, when God speaks, we receive His Word by faith. We believe the Word with our heart, for we believe with the heart (Romans 10:10). Man, being the image of God, can believe a thing independent of his physical senses. We walk by faith, and not by sight, or sensory perception, or the five physical senses.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Meaning that we can have substance for things we hope for, and evidence for things we have not seen yet. We can know and believe a thing that we have not yet evidence for in the natural. Beloved, truth is superior to and greater than feeling. So, when we receive the Word of God, we do not test its validity by our senses, but we appreciate it by faith. We act upon the Word, and then and only then can and will the senses come to terms with the reality of the Word. When we act out our faith in the Word, the senses accept the reality of the Word, and then give way to the fulfilment of it. Until Mary believed the Word of God as to supernatural conception and acted on it, the Word did not become flesh in her womb. The natural will give way to the supernatural by the force of faith. The Word does not work by the senses. The Word works by faith. We conceive the Word in our heart, and act upon it like it has already been done, and so it becomes in the natural. Hallelujah!!!
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I walk by faith, and not by sight. I live by the Word of God in my spirit. Every Word God has spoken to me is good in my case. Amen.
