6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Freedom from financial worries is assured in God’s Word. You can actually live without financial worries. Worry has a way of taking the place of peace and joy in the heart, if we permit it. Understand that banks may close, money may be devalued, but God’s Word is sure forever! You can bank on God’s Word. You sure will never be disappointed. God has your finances covered in His Word; so, refuse to be anxious about your finances. This is the central message in today’s opening scriptural verse. It says to not be anxious for anything; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known to God. What an assuring and reassuring promise from the Word of God! To be anxious for nothing includes not being anxious about your finances, isn’t it?
The dynamics of giving and receiving or sowing and reaping is the pivot around which kingdom financial prosperity revolves. When we pray and make supplication unto God with thanksgiving as to our needs, He leads our hearts to give to bless His work on earth, and to bless people that are in need. As you give to the work of God, the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it will be given back to you in spiritual blessings, financial rewards, and eternal fruit to your account in heaven. Giving is one scriptural way to connect with the all-graciousness of God. In 2 Corinthians 9:8, the Word tells us that when we give, God makes all grace to abound towards us, that we might have all sufficiency in all things, in order that we might abound unto every good work. When you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, food, clothes, shelter, cars, and all the good things of life will be provided for us. You are to seek God’s kingdom first. That’s all you need to do to enter God’s abundant provision for you. Beloved, God takes care of the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field; He will take care of you (Luke 12:28-31). God’s care for you is obvious; do not resist His generosity by worrying over material things. God is reliable, trustworthy and honest. You can trust God with your life.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your goodness and provision for me. I trust in You absolutely. I know that You are able to take care of me; therefore, I refuse to be anxious for anything, particularly my finances. Father, I seek Your kingdom first. Amen.
