Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
Today’s opening Scripture gives a charge to arise and shine, for your light has come. Shining here speaks of rising to prominence and relevance in your calling, in career, in business, in ministry and in all your endeavours. Light here speaks of the revelation of your destiny, your calling, God’s purpose for you. When your light comes, you have to arise to be able to shine. To arise here speaks of standing up in response to the revelation that you have received. Responding to the light of God’s plan for you. Arising is any corresponding action to the light that you have received of God’s purpose and plan for you. Therefore, shining requires two things: Arising and light. Just as much as it takes light to shine, it also takes you arising for your light to be seen. You don’t sit down, being passive and expect your light to shine. You must arise from passivity and obscurity to be able to shine your light and fulfill your God-given destiny.
Listen beloved, no matter what you have suffered in the past, God is saying that you arise from it and start shining. Arise from depression, regrets, bitterness, and disappointments. It may be that somebody jilted you. Stand up and arise. Move on! Get out of and break away from the entanglements of the past! The people that disappointed you couldn’t make you but God can make you, and He will make you. God will lift you and bring you to the place of your destiny! God designed your destiny and He alone can help you to fulfill it. Therefore, rise from shame, from guilt, from disappointment, and rise to relevance and prominence, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. It is time to arise and move from where you are now to where you ought to be. It’s your time; it’s your season. Don’t let the enemy keep you down by reminding you of your past failures! Your light has come! Your sins are forgiven and forgotten! The blood of Jesus has remitted your sins. Refuse to remember the former things, for the Lord has done a new thing. It’s a new beginning for you! Amen.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
I declare in the Name of Jesus Christ, that the glory of God is upon me. I disconnect from my past and I enter into the big dream that God has for me. I enter into the fulfillment of my God-given purpose in the Name of Jesus Christ.
