22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Mark 11:22-23 reveals the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ about faith. He teaches that if a man should say to a mountain to be removed from where it is and hurl itself into the sea, it will obey him if he refuses to doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen; he will have it happen according to his words. Evidently, the man, in context, speaking to a mountain is a man of faith, and he is speaking from his heart; because the Lord Jesus says he does not doubt in his heart, which means that he is speaking from his heart. He must have internalized the revelation of God’s Word in his heart as to the fact that God has given him authority to make decrees as far as the matter which he is dealing with is concerned. He is speaking his revelation, not wishes. He is speaking from a concrete conviction of truth or reality based on the revelation of God’s Word to him. This is what makes what he says potent and powerful. He is speaking from the power of God’s Word that has already taken root in his spirit. The Word tells us in Romans 10:10 that it is with the heart that we believe unto righteousness. Faith is of the heart or spirit of man; we only believe with the heart, not with the mind or head. The core of your being must capture the essence of God’s Word to believe it. When the Word is preached, the heart receives it, to believe it.
Many times, people speak from their head and expect to have what they say but when they are disappointed, they blame it on God, while others blame the preacher or teacher who taught them the Word. Little do they realize that they have mixed up the principle of God’s Word and have failed to see what Jesus taught in the Word as to putting their faith to work. Talking your wishes will not produce results but talking your revelation will. Getting God’s Word to permeate into your inner being through meditation is very necessary to have the revelation of God’s Word in your spirit. Spending time with God’s Word via meditation and prayer is one key means of getting the Word into our inner consciousness. We must give heed to the Word. We must learn to fill our words with faith energy from the revelation of the Word in our spirit. Learn to speak your revelation and you will see your life move up in leaps and bounds.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that my tongue is the tree of life hooked up with my spirit, and speaking forth the revelation of God’s Word within me. I do not speak vain words, but words soaked and pregnant with eternal life. Amen.
