You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.
The Christian life is altogether supernatural. The Word tells us in John 3:6 that whatsoever is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. The man in Christ is born of the Spirit and of the Word. Just as the wind blows where it decides to, and you only can hear its sound but don’t know where it’s coming from and going to, so is everyone born of the Spirit and of the Word. The man in Christ is a miracle to all to behold and admire. The opening verse above tells us something very profound about the life of the man in Christ, who has received the Holy Spirit. It says he has overcome the world, because the greater One, the Holy Spirit, is in him; and He is greater than he, Satan, that’s in the world. The Holy Spirit within us makes us invincible. No matter what may come our way, we are more than conquerors because the greater One dwells in us. You are more than a man because the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. Romans 8:11 tells us that if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He who raised Christ from the dead shall also make alive our mortal bodies. The greater One, the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us is meant to always put us ahead and over every obstacle or challenge that comes our way. He is our Strengthener and Comforter.
John 14:16 tells us that the Holy Spirit is our Standby, Comforter, Guide, Intercessor, Helper, Advocate, Strengthener and Teacher. He is all that to us in us. We are not alone. We are not orphans. The Lord Jesus Christ did not leave us as orphans; He has given unto us the almighty Comforter. We have all it takes to always stay on top, no matter the situations surrounding our lives. We are more than conquerors in Christ through Him who loved us and died for us to have the Spirit of God indwell us. Hallelujah! However, we are left with one thing that makes everything that we have in Christ work. What is it? Spiritual awareness; acknowledgement; consciousness. We must fan to flame this consciousness of the greater One within us via meditation in the Word and let this translate into an actual fellowship with Him. Our lives are transformed by the Spirit of God, from glory to glory, as we meditate on the Word. Give attention to the Word; what the Lord Jesus Christ has said about the Holy Spirit, the greater One within us.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that the Greater One, the Holy Spirit, lives in me; and He puts me over every challenge of life, ministering the victory of Jesus to me every day. Amen.
