having been born again, not of [a]corruptible seed but [b]incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides [c]forever,
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
The seed of anything is everything that thing is, shrunk into its smallest form. The seed of orange, for example is everything an orange is and could become, shrunk into its smallest form. Hence, seed is the smallest form of life and existence. It therefore follows that the concept of seed minister to us a sense of appreciation of process. We cannot see seeds come into fruition without appreciating the process of growth and maturation. Evidently, God wants us to appreciate process to see seeds come into fruition. He wants us to embrace the principle of faith and patience in growing our seeds into fruition. Awesome, isn’t it? Well, the Word of God is the seed of eternal life. Everything eternal life could become in power and character is locked up in the seed of the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 tells us that we are born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, which lives and abides forever. The Word is referred to as the incorruptible seed, which never dies, the seed of eternal life. Now, knowing that God’s Word is the seed of eternal life, it therefore follows that the Word can be sown into our hearts and nurtured by the principle of faith and patience unto maturity or fruition. What does this mean? By that, we mean that whatever portion of God’s Word we receive into our hearts, be it prosperity, faith, healing, or health, we can water it and see it grow into the fulness of whatever the seed is made of. You don’t receive the Word and let it lie fallow. You receive the Word to work it and grow it into the fulness of all that it can be to and in your life.
2 Peter 1:19 paints a perfect picture of how to respond to the Word, the seed of eternal life. It says we have a more sure Word of prophecy, whereunto we do well that we take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in our hearts. This means that a flicker of revelation can shine in a dark place of any situation until the day dawn and the day star arise in our heart. A flicker of revelation, a seed of the Word, can grow up to become a day dawn and a day star. What an amazing potential is in the Word of God, and when we give heed to it, it grows to deliver its full potential. We must sow the Word in our heart and nurture it by speaking and acting upon it, until it delivers its full potentials.
My Solid Front (Confession):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I sow the seed of the Word of God into my Spirit daily, and I nurture it consistently unto fruition of every good thing of the order of eternal life. Amen.
