Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”
As a Christian, your environment ought not to determine or shape your life experiences. Faith in the Word of God ought to shape your experiences. God made man in His own image and after His likeness, to live as kings in the earth. The Word tells us in Genesis 1:28 that God blessed man and He said, “…be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion….” That Word of blessing that says, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion ought to determine our experiences here on earth, not the circumstances surrounding us. We are meant to have life unfold as God has commanded it according to His Word. When we believe the Word, the Word prevails in our life. Faith is what makes the Word to prevail in our life. In fact, the Word will prevail in your life to the degree or measure that you believe it. Never again allow your situation to determine your experience in life. Let the Word determine your experience. How? Believe the Word and act on it!
One of the reasons you must continually walk by faith and develop your faith is that faith in the Word determines and shapes our life experiences. In our opening Scripture, in Matthew 8:13, Jesus told the Centurion, as you have believed, so it is done unto you. In life, it is unto you according to your faith. It is not unto you according to somebody else’s faith, no! It is unto you according to your own faith. It is not unto you according to your desire; it is unto you according to your faith. This means that the results you get in life is according to your faith. So, when you build your faith, your confidence in God, you will get awesome results, much more than you were getting. When it comes to the subject of faith, Jesus the Lord pushes the responsibility to us, when it comes to the subject of grace, He takes responsibility for it. Grace is what Christ has done for us, while faith is what you do in response to what He has done for you. The woman with the issue of blood believed that if she would touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole; and it happened according to her faith. When you believe the Word of God, you will have it done unto you according to your faith. Your faith determines and shapes your experiences.
My Solid Front (Confession):
I acknowledge that it is to me in life according to my faith. It is not to me according to someone else’s faith, but according to my faith; therefore, I give the utmost heed and attention to building my faith daily in Jesus’ Name!
