Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Today’s opening verse begins with words worthy of our consideration. It says, we are justified or condemned by our words. Justification or condemnation is a product of our confession. Your confession reveals and defines you. You cannot rise above your confession. Your words reveal your identity and maturity. In the world of the spirit, you are defined by what you say of yourself. Negative words or confessions trade you away too cheaply. Don’t take a posture of disadvantage by a wrong confession. Be conscious of what you want to say and weigh it before saying it. Don’t let off your guards when it comes to confession. What you say is what will be used to judge you. You will be justified or condemned by your own words; so be careful what you say. Make sure you choose your words carefully, so they don’t stand against you in judgement. Our words are a banner we put forth in the realm of the Spirit. You are identified by your words. Speak in knowledge, understanding, discernment and wisdom. Say what will count in your favour. Never let a thing slip off your mouth that the enemy can use against you. You are too smart to empower your enemy against you. Give no place to the devil by reason of your speech. Your mouth is an advantage; it is a blessing from God. It is an instrument of victory and defence. Use it wisely. Receive grace to make the most of your mouth and the words that come out of it in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Confession sets your liberty or bondage. Everything rises and falls on your confession. Your faith rises to your confession or is trapped by it (Proverbs 6:2). Don’t let your mouth limit or cage you. No matter what is happening around you, say what you truly believe. You are the seed of Abraham. Don’t say what your situation compels you to say. Snatch your mouth from the pull of carnality. Say the Word! Keep declaring the Word. Declare that you have been justified from condemnation and guilt! Say, “I am shielded and protected from every evil for I have obtained the righteousness of faith. I have obtained the mercy of God; therefore, my case is different. God’s favour is upon my life.” When you speak words like this, your entire life will be lifted up to meet your confession. Remember, you are justified by your words!
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I declare that I am the seed of Abraham, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I speak words consistent with the justification that I have in Christ. My words are seasoned with salt in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
