1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Our opening verse reveals very profoundly the world of difference there is between God’s thoughts and man’s. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. It tells us that the thoughts of God and His ways are not the thoughts and ways of natural men. It says as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than man’s ways, and His thoughts than man’s thoughts. On the average, the earth is 150 million kilometers from the sun. You may now imagine how high the heaven is from the earth. In essence, God is saying that His thoughts and ways are just way too high for natural men to grasp or comprehend. This is the reason why the unborn again man cannot grasp God’s frequency of communication and understanding. But the man that is born again, the child of God, can understand God’s thoughts and ways, for he has the mind of Christ. The Word tells us that God has given to us the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). The mind of Christ is the capacity to understand the thoughts and ways of God. As a child of God, you can understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God. With the mind of Christ, the new life and the gift of the Holy Spirit that you have received in Christ, the mind of Christ is laid bare before you. You can see life from God’s perspective, you can perceive life through God’s eyes.
Through faith in God’s Word you can see life through God’s eyes. How? When you meditate in the Word, the light of God shines in your heart, and you can see by the light of God. You now have every privilege under God to go God’s way and walk in His paths, for He is the fountain of life and in His light, we see light. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 tells us that our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. So, we can look at the things which are not seen, not with the physical eyes; we can look at the invisible things of God through the eyes of faith. To see life through God’s eyes, you must give attention to meditation in the Word. Then you will be able to see past the obstacles standing in your way; you will see possibilities by faith, and enter into your God-ordained destiny. Hallelujah!!!
My Solid Front (Confession):
I declare that I have the mind of Christ; I see situations and circumstances from the viewpoint of God; therefore, I exercise dominion and experience victory at all times in Jesus’ Name. Amen
