Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
A fulfilled life is that which is lived to fulfill God’s purpose or dream, for which the life was given and designed. Success or fulfillment must never be defined outside of the purpose for which a thing or a person is made. Ignorance alone defines fulfillment or success outside the scope of purpose. Anything achieved or done outside of purpose is nothing but vanity and sheer waste of time and resources. Our opening Scripture reveals God’s purpose for Jeremiah as it is for every person on earth today. He said to Jeremiah that before he was formed in the womb and was born into the world, He set him apart and ordained him to be a prophet to the nations. That’s true for you as well. God’s purpose for you predates the foundation of the world, and even your conception and birth; which means that purpose is the reason you were born in the first place. If you were born to fulfill a purpose, and you knew nothing about that purpose let alone fulfill it, then life would have no meaning or worth. Life is worthless and directionless without the purpose for which it was made or given.
How do I live a life of fulfillment? Well, a life of fulfillment starts with a discovery of God’s purpose for you. The question then is: how do I discover God’s purpose for me? Prayer. When you go to God in prayer and ask Him to know His purpose for your life, He will reveal it to you. Jeremiah 33:3 tells us that when we call unto God, He will answer, and show us great and mighty things (things pertaining to His purpose for us) which we don’t know. When you ask, it shall be given unto you. It is worthy of note that this kind of asking is not a one-off thing. You must ask with a strong persevering desire to search out God’s purpose for you. When you go to God in prayer and ask Him to know His purpose for you, there must be a follow up to that asking in thanksgiving, watching (sensitivity) and continual walk with God to discover God’s purpose for you. Yes, you ask in faith; but patience, importunity, perseverance must be exercised alongside faith in God to receive from Him. Don’t give up on yourself, don’t give up on God, and don’t stop studying the Word and ministering to the Lord in worship. You must learn to stand upon your watch and upon the tower in patience, waiting upon the Lord, to see what the Lord will say unto you (Habakkuk 2:1-3). Then the vision, God’s purpose, for your life will be revealed. Hallelujah!!!
My Solid Front (Confession):
I declare that I am a child born in due season. I live for my God-ordained purpose and I fulfil it. My feet are strengthened to walk in my destiny path; therefore, I walk without stumbling or going astray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
