7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
The Bible tells us that God is Light (1 John 1:3), and that He is life (1 John 1:1-2); and He is Love (1 John 4:8). So, God is Life, and He is Light, and He is Love. How do these three things God is relate with each other? Essentially, God is love and from that love comes light and life. The love of God is what produces light; for everyone that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling before him (1 John 2:10). Again, the Word tells us that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren; and that everyone that does not love his brother abides in death. So, the life and light of God emanate from His love. Therefore, love is the substance of everything. Love is the visible attribute of God; it is the attractive dimension of God’s glory. Love is the very visibility of the essence of God’s life. The love of God is at the heart of all the creation of God. Everything that’s of God spins within the scope or circumference of God’s love. Whatever is not of love is of the evil one; it is of darkness, it is of the devil, for God is love.
God’s love is a doorway into the fullness of God. Walking in love continually is walking in the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19-20). Wherever love is absent, God is absent; and wherever love abounds therein is the fullness of God. Love is the sure way to know God; for whosoever does not walk in love does not know God; for God is love. Our perception of God is accurate when it is of love – Agape love. Love is all that counts to God, not all that can be counted. People who count in the presence of God are people of love, love-motivated and love-governed. Such people do nothing out of selfishness or personal gain; but they do everything to bless, to help, and to edify others. Just as Love Himself (God) didn’t give His Son to us to the end that He might bless Himself. No, He gave His Son to us so that we might have eternal life. Jesus died that we might live; therefore, God’s love demonstrated to us is to the end that we might be blessed and lifted. Beloved, love ought to be what we live for. It’s not worth living at all if you are not living for love. The life that truly counts with God is that of love.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
Father God, I thank You that your love has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit; therefore, I declare that I am strengthened and enabled by the Spirit to walk in love every day in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
