But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Words are powerful; they are the finest and most powerful expressions of life. Words are expressions of who we are and what we have. Authority is expressed and conferred with words. Our words are a summary of who we are; words are capsules of our identity and authority. We are told and taught from the account of creation that words are creative. You can create your world by your words. Understand that God has made you in His image and after His likeness. God is a speaking Spirit. You are a speaking spirit, too. What God can do with His Words; you too can do with the same. This is why He has given us His Word as a source of inspiration and a tool of effecting changes in our lives and in the lives of others. We are meant to eat the Word of God; we are meant to feed on the Word. Matthew 4:4 reveals very clearly that we live on the Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The fact that we live on the Word is proof that we are divine, and that we are not ordinary. We hail from God. Understand that what you eat classifies you. You cannot live better than your meal. In fact, in summary, you are what you feed on; you are what you eat.
The gift of salvation that we have and that we enjoy in Christ came to us by words. We heard words of faith and believed them. The rest is history. We believe the words of the Gospel and the result is salvation. As believers, we are meant to live by faith. To live by faith, we must continue in the Word; for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word. Feed on the Word! How? Meditate in the Word. Don’t feed on junks! Feed on God’s Word. You need to feed more on the word to get stronger in the faith. The just shall live by faith, not by junks on social media. When you feed on the Word, your faith becomes stronger. Faith is not something you make up. You don’t try to believe God; just listen to Him and you will believe Him. Give attention to the Word of God. Listen to what God is saying to you, then your faith will be built up as you give attention to the Word and live by it.
MY SOLID FRONT (YOUR CONFESSION):
In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I set my gaze on the Word. I meditate in the Word daily. I refuse to be distracted from the Word, come what may. I am strengthened by the Spirit to give earnest heed to the Word.
